We believe there is one true and living God, creator of all things (Genesis 1:1) who in His nature is entirely holy and righteous, deserving of all glory and honor. We believe in the unity of the Godhead and that they are 3 distinct Persons: Father, Son and Holy Ghost (1 John 5:7) totally equal and in harmony in their offices.
We believe man was created in innocence in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27) and by his own free will and choice did voluntarily sin (Romans 5:12) in Adam. As a consequence, all men are sinners, inclined to evil, separated from God by our sinful nature and under the just condemnation of a holy God (Romans 3:23).
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9) without works and in the eternal security of the believer. We affirm the atoning blood sacrifice (Colossians 1:14) of the Lord Jesus Christ as sole sufficiency for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2) given only to those who receive Him by faith as their personal Savior (Romans 10:9-10). We confess that this gospel is defined by his death, burial and resurrection according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the only way of salvation (John 14:6).
We believe in the authority of the local church and its separation from political and state entanglements. We believe in the freedom of religion and choice for all men, and that neither the church nor the state may impose its convictions or beliefs upon the individual. We believe it is the function of the local church to perfect the saints (Ephesians 4:12), to evangelize the lost (Romans 1:16), and exalt the Savior (John 4:24) in spirit and truth.
We believe in two ordinances (1 Corinthians 11:2); believer’s baptism by immersion (Acts 8:37) and the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-34), neither of which bring salvation, but are related to sanctification. We practice an open communion, allowing each man to participate as he examines his conscience before God.
We accept the two offices as demonstrated in the New Testament: deacon and elder, the presiding elder being called the bishop or pastor (1 Timothy 3:1). We subscribe to church governance by the elder board, comprised of the pastor and appointed elders (Acts 6:3-6), who then exercise authority in the local church.
We believe that God loved the world and gave His only Son (John 3:16) and that it is imperative for all Christians to participate in the Great Commission in reaching the lost world (Matthew 28:19-20) through world missions. We participate in spreading this gospel by both prayer and the financial support of like minded missionaries around the world.
We believe in all the historical, fundamental doctrines of Biblical faith in regard to the Virgin Birth, Deity of Christ, Vicarious Atonement, Bodily Resurrection, Second Coming of Christ, Eternal Security of the believer, Eternal judgment of God as to Heaven and Hell, and look forward to the Pre-tribulation rapture of the church.
We believe in personal work, prayer, giving, charity, ministering to the sick and those in need. We believe that practical application of Bible truth is as important as correctness in profession of faith (1Corinthians 13:1-13).
We believe in the providential inspiration of scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21) and the preservation of scripture (Psalm 12:6-7). We believe the Bible is without error and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. We believe the Bible was given by God to be the light of Truth in a world darkened by falsehood (John 5:39, 17:17).
